April 2004 In February Vladimir has died. Unfortunatelly we could not collect
a necessary amount in time... 3 February 2004 On
December 23 Vladimir has got a nose bleeding which was impossible to stop. Then
the boy together with the mother has returned to Simferopol, to the children hematology
department. | | Vladimir Bannik from Kerch
has stayed in hospital the whole 2000 and half of 2001. In October 2002 the relapse
of illness was diagnosed. All should begun once again: the anti-relapse therapeutic
protocol... Recently, just four months ago Vladimir has completed to be treated
for a relapse of leukaemia. He was already home, receiving supporting therapy...
The bone marrow puncture has shown 87 % of blasts… The new relapse means
that for Vladimir a Bone Marrow Transplantation is inevitable. In the best case
the bone marrow can be taken from a partial compatible donor (mum). In worse -
it will be necessary to search for the donor. In Ukraine with the present
indications such an operation can not be conducted. It means that the transplantation
should be done in Russia or in one foreign countries. The costs can rise 50-100
thousands of U.S. dollars. THE POSSIBLE WAYS TO HELP VLADIMIR:
- To take part in raising of funds; - To find a clinic to conduct operation
(whenever possible, without high payment involved); - To help in purchase
of medicines by manufacturers. Now doctors have begun to conduct a preparatory
chemotherapy. It will last for 2-4 months. The boy has reacted to treatment positively.
We have very short time to help Vladimir…. PLEASE,
BE COMPATIONATE ! My
name is Galina Bannik, was born in a 1971, in Kerch. In a 1992 has married, but
the marriage did not develop good... However, important is - that I have become
the mother of a remarkable boy! Besides him, I bring up also my sister - after
our parents have died; she's 14 years now.
At the present moment
I am in hospital together with my son Vladimir. I can not it leave him alone,
and as result - I don't work and I do not receive any salary. Vladimir has chances
for recovery, but we do not have means for purchasing of necessary medicines.
Please, help us to acquire at least a part of necessary: the main, most expensive
medicines, are available now in hospital. But - not all... Now, we
are with my son in such a desperate situation that we plead for your help. Help
to rescue life of my child!
