The Foundation Save a Russian Child conducted our second collection week in Amsterdam on14-19th April 2003. Several volunteers took to the streets of Amsterdam each day - collecting donations and spreading information among both Amsterdammers and guests of the capital city alike. The campaign was a great success and the amount collected during the weeklong campaign totaled 7556 EUR. In addition to this we also received a donation of 1500 EUR specifically in support of this campaign. The purpose of the collection week was to raise funds in support of our "Infuse pumps" project. Enabling us to provide new Infuse Pumps to the Hematology Department of the Crimean Regional Children Hospital in Simferopol, where they specifically treat children suffering from leukemia.
We would like to thank all the people who volunteered throughout the week and without whom this collection would not have been possible: Carlo Ziviello, Marina Kouzakova, Julie McCulloch, Ildar N., Akmal Mardiev, Lara Gavria, Stein Kerkijk, Natasha Voronina, Jana Petrova, Sergey Moiseyev, Penka Fonseca, Daniela P. and to everyone who contributed during the week for your generosity & support. |
