Russian paintworks exhibition

 
In the week of September 5-13, 2003 the foundation Art-of-Russia has organized a particular exhibition in the office of ' Dry Works International ' in Almere. One could admire the art work of the Russian family Chernjakevich, Ivan (father), Vera (mother), Bogdan (son) and the very particular paintings of the 14-year-old girl Julia Krasnova from St-Petersburg.

The Foundation Save a Russian Child had been invited by the organizers of the exhibition with the aim to attract the attention to the problems concerning the health care in Russia.

The official opening of the exposition was done by the new mayor of Almere, Miss. A.Jorritsma on Saturday September 6.
During the opening speeches, Miss S. van Calcar - one of the organizers - also had taken the word and, among other, had mentioned the work and needs of the foundation Save a Russian Child. Furthermore, she had referred the interested persons to the present President of our foundation for more information.

During this event the artists showed a large part of their work. It concerns more than hundred paintworks.

The very colorful and society critical paintings of Julia Krasnova has also attracted enough attention. Although Julia is just 14 years old, she had meanwhile a lot of expositions, interviews and some TV-performances behind the back. Also in the Netherlands the work of Julia had not remained unnoticed. Recently this remarkable young lady was appearing on the front page of the newspaper 'Het Parool' and not long afterwards the TV news program 'Jeugdjournaal' has dedicated a reportage to her work.

The foundation Art-of-Russia has as an aim generating financial resources for Russian care institutions by means of, among others, sale of Russian art.
